Building People Power (or, How Do You Eat an Elephant?)

Day-light flooding, hurricanes, droughts and fires: the daily news is full of climate disasters. Pipelines getting built every where, perhaps in your own neighborhood, to pump fracked gas which is a big part of the problem.

You look at the beautiful children in your life, feel that pit in the stomach---what kind of climate future will be for them? What can I do to protect them? Sound like an elephant-sized problem? What can one person do about it?

Join Mothers Out Front for an informational meeting on building people power. Find out you are not alone in your concerns. Find out how we can build the movement to tackle that elephant, and make it bend toward a safe and livable future. We look forward to sharing our thoughts and concerns with the proposed fossil fuel pipelines, creating a strategy to protect our homes and building power to achieve great things in Chesapeake.

(Although, light refreshments will be served, elephants are NOT on the menu.)
