STOP ATLANTIC COAST PIPELINE FROM RUNNING UNDER NORFOLK’S TAP WATER SOURCE
The City of Norfolk will vote on a bid for easements on property it owns in Suffolk for the construction of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline. The easements are on land that city staff have described as being “there to support the water system” and includes Lake Prince and Western Branch Reservoirs, both of which provide drinking water to residents.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend the city council meeting. If you live in Norfolk or in Suffolk near the proposed route, please plan to attend and tell city council to protect our water!
Show up to the Norfolk City Council meeting on November 14 to voice your concerns. The meeting starts at 7pm but show up early to sign up to speak!
Contact city council using the info below BEFORE Nov. 14. Go to https://www.facebook.com/events/125250591568504 to find talking points under “DIscussion.”
