Roanoke Public Narrative Training - Part 1

The Mothers Out Front Public Narrative Workshop will provide participants with skills and tools useful for public speaking with an emphasis on sharing their story and ways to inspire others to take action.

The public narrative workshop was designed and adapted from the work of Marshall Ganz and the Leading Change Network to prepare members for speaking and motivating others to take action for social justice at rallies, public hearings, meetings with decision makers or even small group settings. This is part 1 of a 2 part workshop. Participation in both sessions is not mandatory but strongly encouraged if possible. At the end of the workshop participants will leave with a fully developed public narrative to share. The workshop includes time to work on and present your public narrative!

This event is free and open to the public. The workshop was designed to support those working on environmental and climate justice issues but is beneficial for anyone organizing for social justice. All are welcome. Invite your friends!

Please register for the webinar.

Public Narrative Part 2 will be held February 15th from 10:15am to 2:30pm at the Williamson Road Branch Library, Roanoke VA. Please register here.
