Building People Power (or, How Do You Eat an Elephant?)
Day-light flooding, hurricanes, droughts and fires: the daily news is full of climate disasters. You look at the beautiful children in your life, feel that pit in the stomach---what kind of climate future will be left for them? What can I do to protect them? Sounds like an elephant-sized problem? What can one person do? Well, you can join our team!
One of the most successful structures that groups like Mothers Out Front and Sierra Club have utilized is local teams of volunteer activists like you!
Join Mothers Out Front and Sierra Club for an informational meeting on building people power. We’re building a team in Virginia Beach to help push our city and state to use more clean energy and reduce carbon pollution. By combining our voices and ideas as a team we will be stronger and more impactful. Come find out you are not alone in your concerns and help us build the movement to tackle that elephant, and make it bend toward a safe and livable future.
